How to publish to Instagram with Levuro

There are two ways to publish to Instagram: automatic or manual.

1. First let’s describe the two methods👇

Method 1 🚀 Auto-Publishing: your post is published automatically to Instagram. It means that you can schedule all your posts in advance, and they will be published without any action from you. We recommend using this method.

Important to know:
Automatic publishing works only for Instagram Business Profiles linked to a Facebook page. We talk in this section about finding which Instagram profile you have and how to connect it to a Facebook page.
You can publish up to 10 images or videos with this method.

Method 2 📲 Manual publishing: you receive a push notification on your mobile when it’s time to publish. When you open the notification, the Levuro app will open the post that needs to be published. You’ll just have to press a button to open the Instagram app and create the post. You will have to copy the caption’s text and insert the media.

Important to know:
You need to install the Levuro mobile app.
It works for all types of Instagram profiles: business, personal or creator.

2. What type of Instagram Profile do you have? (Business, Personal or Creator)

Follow these steps to know what is your Instagram Profile type:

From Instagram:
Sign in to Instagram with the profile you want to connect to Levuro: https://www.instagram.com/
In the bottom left corner, click on More and Settings.

A new page opens and in the left column you will see written in blue “Switch to Personal Account” or “Switch to Business Account”. In our case, it’s “Switch to Personal Account” which means that we have a Business account.

If you have a Private or Creator Profile, we recommend that you switch to a Business account.

From Levuro:
Connect your Instagram Profile to Levuro. You can learn how in this article.
Once your profile is connected, go to Settings in the top right corner.
On the right menu, click Workspace and Social profiles.
You will see a list of all of your connected profiles. Find your Instagram profile, underneath the type of profile is displayed. We have one Instagram Private and three Instagram Business in the example below.


Now you should know which kind of Instagram Profile you have. Let’s find out how to connect it to a Facebook page (necessary for automatic publishing of your posts).

3. How to connect your Instagram Business Profile to a Facebook page?

You will need:
An Instagram Business profile
A Facebook page
Be the admin or editor of this page

Sign in to your Facebok page and to the Instagram Profile you want to connect.
In Facebok, go to the Settings of your page.
And click Linked accounts in the left column
Click Connect account and follow the instructions.

You will see the name and information of your connected Instagram account at the end of the process.

Now that you have an Instagram Business account connected to your Facebook Page, let’s see how you can publish your post automatically.

4. 🚀 Publishing to Instagram with Auto-publishing:

For this method, we need:
An Instagram business profile connected to Levuro
This Instagram Profile connected to a Facebook Page

A. Set up Auto-Publishing:

In Levuro, go to your Instagram Profile: go to Settings in the top right corner.
On the right menu, click Workspace and Social profiles.
You will see a list of all of your connected profiles. Find your Instagram Business Profile.
Click on the link Choose how you would like to publish to Instagram.

A modal will open where you can choose between the two methods. Select Auto-Publishing and click Continue.

Another modal will open to remind you to make sure that your Instagram is connected to a Facebook page, if it’s the case, click Continue. Otherwise, you should connect it now.
Once Auto-Publishing is activated, you will see that the red border is gone. You can now create posts and publish them automatically. Keep reading to know how 🙂

B. Publishing to Instagram automatically with Levuro:

On the Publish tab click Add new and Post

Select your Instagram Business Profile and click Next

Type your text and add your images or videos (up to 10).
Auto publish should be selected like shown in the image below.

When you are done creating your post, click Publish

That’s it! Your post will now be published on the selected day and hour.

5. 📲 Publishing to Instagram with Mobile Notification Publishing:

A. Set up Mobile Notification Publishing:

In Levuro, go to your Instagram Profile: go to Settings in the top right corner.
On the right menu, click Workspace and Social profiles.
You will see a list of all of your connected profiles. Find your Instagram Business Profile.
Click on the link Choose how you would like to publish to Instagram.

A modal will open where you can choose between the two methods. Select the second one and click Continue.

The next step is to install the Levuro mobile app on your phone.
If you have an android phone, you can find the mobile app in the Google play store here, or here in the app store if you have an iPhone.

Once the mobile app in installed on your phone, sign in with your email and password that you used to create your Levuro account.
You will see a confirmation message on your computer. Click Next.

To make sure that you will receive Levuro's notifications when it's time to publish your posts, send a test to your phone. If you don't receive anything, go to your phone Settings and make sure notifications from Levuro are allowed.

B. Publishing to Instagram with mobile notification:

On the Publish tab click Add new and Post

Select your Instagram Profile and click Next

Type your text and add your images or videos, Send notifications should be selected.

Click Publish.
You will receive a notification on your phone at the time you scheduled your post to be published. When you receive it, click on the notification.
The Levuro app will open, and you will see your post. Click Open Instagram app.
In the Instagram app, you can now edit your medias, paste your caption and publish your post.
